Woman-Owned Business Certification
Detailer’s Preference’s WBENC Certification ensures that a business is majority-owned, managed, and operated by women. More specifically, it means at least 51% of the company is controlled by women, who are actively involved in its day-to-day operations and have a significant stake in the business.
To achieve WBENC certification, businesses undergo a rigorous review process, including documentation checks and site visits. This thorough process makes WBENC Certification the gold standard for women-owned businesses. It's recognized by over 1,000 corporations and various government entities.
This means one or more women must have unrestricted control of the business, a demonstrated management of day-to-day operations, and a proportionate investment of capital or expertise. To become certified, business owners undergo a thorough vetting process, including a review of business documentation and a site visit.
Because of this thorough process, it is considered the gold standard for certification and is accepted by more than 1,000 corporations, in addition to some states, cities, and other entities.
Once certified, businesses are officially designated as WBENC-Certified Women's Business Enterprises, or WBEs.
